禅友の皆様
新しい年が始まり、はやひと月が経ちました。 皆様いかがお過ごしでしょうか。
比叡山の麓にある栖賢寺は、この季節うっすらと雪の積もるような寒い朝の日も多いです。ですが、年が変わり日の出の時間も早くなって来て、手水鉢に氷の張る朝にも小鳥たちの楽しそうな歌声が聞こえ、彼らから温かい気をいただいております。
本年も例年どおり朝の坐禅会は休会とさせていただいておりますが、今月は涅槃会に坐禅会が、また来月は春のお彼岸の法要を行います。
一炷一炷の坐禅が法に叶うものとなり、我々のささやかな仏道の実践が一切衆生のよりよき縁に繋がるよう、みなさまと共に歩ませていただけたら光栄です。

定例行事朝坐禅会（１月〜３月冬期休会）毎朝。不定休。 参加希望の方は前日までに開催の有無をお問い合わせください。毎日参加されている方は連絡不要です。
＊５分前までに、禅堂集合 ６：１５ 坐禅 ６：５５ 朝課 ７：３０ 日天掃除 ８：００ 茶礼 ８：３０ 終了
個人・グループ坐禅会参加者のご都合に合わせて、個人・もしくはグループでの坐禅会を行っております。ゆっくり時間をとって、質疑をしながら、坐禅の実践を行います。 時間 約２時間
作務の会毎週木曜日の午後 庭掃除、薪割り、畑仕事などしております １３：００ 開始 １５：００ 茶礼 木曜日以外でも庭の掃除や草引き、畑仕事などの作務をしております。 参加ご希望の方はご連絡ください。 |

２／１５（日）涅槃会坐禅会釈尊が入滅された２／１５日に、追悼報恩の法要を行い、坐禅会を開催させていただきます。 涅槃会は、釈尊のお誕生を祝うはなまつり（降誕会、4月8日）や、さとりを開かれたことを記念して行う成道会（12月8日）と並んで、仏教三大法要の一つに数えられます。
１０：００ 法要 坐禅 四弘誓願誦経 茶礼 １２：００ 散会
３０分２回の坐禅を行います。

３／２０ 春季彼岸会法要 |
３／２０（金・春分の日） 昼と夜の長さが同じになる彼岸という中庸の時に、祈りを捧げ、おおいなるものに礼拝し、施餓鬼と先祖供養の行を通して宇宙一切に感謝する法要にしたいと思います。
法要の前には、例年通り茶室での呈茶もいたしますので、余裕を持ってお越しくださいませ。事前にお申し込みの上、是非ご参列くださいませ。 ０９：３０ 受付開始 受付後お茶室で呈茶 １１：００ 法要開始

２／１５（sun）Nehane Ritual (anniversary of Buddha's death) and Zazen SessionOn February 15, we will hold a memorial service and zazen gathering in remembrance of the Buddha’s passing into Nirvana.Nehan-e (Nirvana Day) is one of the Three Major Buddhist Observances, together with the celebration of the Buddha’s Birth (April 8) and the commemoration of his Awakening (December 8).
Schedule10:00– Memorial Service– Zazen– Recitation of the Four Great Vows– Tea Offering 12:00– Closing Two periods of zazen will be held, 30 minutes each.

３／２０ Spring Equinox Ceremony for AncestorsHonoring Our Ancestors in the Balance of Equinox As the day and night become equal in length during the Higan period—a time of balance and equanimity—we gather in prayer, offer reverence to the Great Whole, and express our gratitude to all beings in the universe through the practices of Segaki (offering to the hungry spirits) and ancestral remembrance.
As in previous years, tea will be served in the tearoom before the ceremony. Please arrive with ample time and be sure to register in advance. All are warmly invited to join.
Date: ３／２０（Fri・Spring Equinox Day）09:30 – Reception opens / Tea served in the tearoom11:00 – Memorial service begins
Registration Deadline: Friday, 3/16
During the service, we will offer prayers (eko) for departed loved ones, including posthumous Buddhist names (kaimyo) and ancestral spirits (e.g., “The spirits of the ○○ family, through all generations”). Please write the names clearly at the reception desk.
Parking is available at the Sudo Shrine parking lot, immediately on the left after passing through the torii gate.
If you are available to assist with preparations on the day before (Thursday, March 19th), your help would be deeply appreciated.
